A Sweater Kinda Winter!

It's that time of the year again! I think I can speak for a lot of you lovelies when I say: "Where has the time gone?!" Seriously, I just can't believe that in less than a month we'll be saying goodbye to 2013 and welcoming what I'm hoping would be a better year! Anyways, it's basically almost winter here in Dubai, which is super exciting for us as we finally get to take out our semi winter clothes (no fur, thick wool sweaters or UGGs in the picture.) The cool part is that sweatshirts and sweaters (I'll go with s&s for short) are our perfect match for this season- We get to flaunt the stylish, colorful and full-on pattern and print s&s!

I'm especially loving Wildfox's s&s collection. I mean I love Wildfox's designs in general, but their s&s collection screams fun, colorful, trendy and comfortable!
These are a few of my favorite picks:

I'm already getting excited thinking about wearing my s&s and started putting outfits together; here are a few to help you get an inspired:

It's All In The Wedge!

So I'm finally back after a LONG time away from you my lovelies...The reason I've been so MIA is because my father in law passed away last week...thankfully we had the chance to fly back home in time to say our final goodbyes - Thank you to all our family and friends who have shown us love and support during such a difficult time - may your soul rest in peace ammo.

It's good to be back and for some reason, I'm finding myself obsessing over a not-so-new-but-definitely-totally-trendy look; the wedge/high-top sneakers. They just look O-SO-FABOLOUS with almost any outfit! Whether you wear them with skinny jeans, a leather skirt or a summer dress, you're definitely able to "strike a pose" and still be super comfortable (beats any heel and the pain that comes along with it!)

Here are some of my favorite wedge/high-top sneakers:

Isabel Marant Bekket Sneakers

See by Chloe High-Top Wedge Sneakers

Superga X Blonde Salad Croc Leather Platform Sneakers

Adidas Original High Top Sneakers

 Ash Wedge Sneakers

 Sandro sneakers

Michael Kors sneakers

Here are a few outfits I've created with wedge sneakers so that you can get an idea of how to style them:

I think by now you can see how a pair of wedge/high-top sneakers look good with almost EVERY outfit! Next time you're feeling too sore for a pair of heels, put on your favorite wedge/high-top sneakers and enjoy the compliments you'll be getting!
I personally couldn't get enough of the pairs I have so had to go out and get one more (I swore this time that this would be my last one-let's see!) I went for the Adidas 'Basket Profi' Hidden Wedge Sneaker:

I LOVE everything about this shoe! It's super comfy and super stylish (love the snake print)- the perfect combination-what more does a girl want?!

Anyways, it definitely feels good to be back and hopefully I won't disappear on you beautiful people...will leave you with this song that I've been loving lately (I even got it on repeat!) Bruno Mars's 'Count On Me' is such a feel good, get all mushy on the inside and love your love even more! Enjoy my beauties!

Overalls...I Dare You!

I've personally always loved jumpsuits..They're light, playful and stylish - The perfect combination. Now, overalls are another story. The last time I remember wearing them is back when I was in middle school. I remember feeling so "stylish" in my blue denim overalls, a white tank top and a pair of sneakers. Well, that phase didn't last too long as overalls became the definition of nerdiness (yes I made that word up) -and so that was the end of them.
Every now and then, I would see someone wearing overalls and I would think to myself "man that girl's got some guts flaunting them around!" I know I didn't dare be seen in them.
Fast forward to this year when suddenly overalls made a comeback. I'm talking, full blown-in your face we're coming back on the racks in different forms and material! So we start seeing denim, leather, suede, silk, long, short and dress overalls! Suddenly I find myself thinking about getting a pair- how and why that happened I have no idea! All I know is that I found myself choosing my favorite pair of overalls and coming up with different ways of styling them.

Here are three of my favorite overall looks:

I absolutely L-O-V-E these distressed relaxed denim overalls! These would definitely be my pair of denim overalls. The ruffled chiffon blouse, gold heels and blush hat complement the overalls well, adding this chic casual look- perfect for a day out in the sun!

One of my favorite style icons, Cameron Diaz, in an oh-so-cute mini overall dress and a simple plain white tee. Her choice of accessories: A pair of plain gold sandal and chunky bangles; keeping it simple but so so so stylish!

Save the best for last - these are some serious trendy head-turning overalls! A statement piece like this, is what will make me buy a pair of overalls! I just love everything about them, the brownish-red color, the fact that they're leather and the fitted cut. This chic item would definitely go with absolutely any style top (love the choice made here). Pair it with some nude heels and you're ready to rock the fashion world!

This last pair definitely left its mark! I suddenly have the itch to go get me a pair of some serious styl'n overalls! So the questions goes out to you beautiful people...would you dare?!!

PS "Been missing my family quite a bit lately- and for some reason this song is making me feel better- probably the fun memories that come along with it:"

A Leather Love Affair

Leather reminds me of that popular girl in high school, the one that always looks good and a lot of people are jealous of and even sometimes hate. See leather is the "it" item and wardrobe staple that everyone needs to own at one point in their life and in the form that fits them best. Amidst all the studded leather jackets and faux leather jogging pants, I have to say, I'm especially loving the mini and knee length leather skirts (I made sure I bought one of each!) You can do so much with these skirts, dress 'em up dress 'em down and they'll still stand out.

Here are some outfits that I've created using leather skirts:

Untitled #13

This high waist leather skirt is one of my favorite looks. I love the way it accentuates the waist, adding such a feminine touch. To complement the cut, I would go for a crop top to show a little bit of skin adding that sexy chic look. With a black leather skirt, you can definitely go for any color top and complement it with simple, elegant heel. If you're going for black/white look, you have the option of playing it safe with a black heel or adding that edge to the outfit with a colored heel.

Untitled #14

The leather pencil skirt is another wardrobe staple and a definite versatile item. Whether you wear it for a day at the office or for a night out, this leather piece gives that super elegant-chic and feminine touch. Pair it with a silk blouse and simple stylish heels and you're ready to rock!

These looks are all about the mini leather skirt. This one is a fun item, as you can opt for a classic black skirt or go for a funky red or colored one. For the black mini skirt, I chose a graphic white tee (you can literally wear it with anything) and a pair of studded converse to give it a more edgy-rock look. For the red mini skirt, I went for two options of black blouses, one crop top-long-sleeved blouse and the other a silk high-neck sleeveless blouse. To complete the look, I went for a black bootie to create that chic-rock touch.

These are some of my favorite celebrities-in-leather-skirts looks:

Ashley Olsen one of my favorite style icons in a mini pencil leather skirt

Angelina Jolie elegant as usual in Ferragamo

Kate Hudson in a Barbara Bui silk and leather dress (just love how the dress looks like a top and skirt)

The winner: Nicole Richie in a laser cut full leather skirt from her own line Winter Kate

So now the question is, which will be your leather skirt style?

Have a lovely weekend beautiful people-will leave you to the beats of this awesome new song for Jessie J:

LYA LYA...A True Show Stopper!

I'll start by saying, that everything about this brand is classy, unique and catchy! You'll realize that just by reading the motto the brand goes by: "You Will Be Seen. You Will Be Heard. Never Hidden. Never Forgotten." Wait till you see the actual collection, it's just as inspiring!

The Vault:

This HAS to be my favorite! I absolutely love the combination of spikes and perfectly cut geometrical shapes. This bag serves as a complete accessory for the entire looks so that there would be no need to wear another piece of accessory. It's definitely such a statement piece. What's also pretty amazing about this bag is that you can choose the color of metal used for the spikes (gold, silver and black). Talk about flexibility in design!

Here's an example of how to wear the Vault:

Untitled #9

The Mini Vault:

The mini vault is the smaller version of the vault with the addition of a shoulder strap. This bag can be found in neon colors as well as in nude and black. I definitely love the addition of the shoulder strap to this bag, it gives it an extra edge and funk. Wear it with distressed black denim, a black racerback tank top and a pair of black pumps and your'e rock'n that edgy-classy kinda look that's sure to turn heads!

Here's an example of how to wear the Mini Vault:

The Lethal Clutch:

The name is as catchy as the actual clutch! Whether you wear it to a fun day out with friends or to a night of music and dancing, there's no doubt you will have people asking about that piece of accessory by your side.

Here's an example of how to wear the Lethal Clutch:

Knight Rider:

Layla describes this bag as "a timeless piece." I can definitely see how this bag, with its aesthetically designed geometrical shape fits that description. Wear this bag with an LBD and a pair of nude stilettos and you would've created that simple elegant feminine look.

Here's an example of how to wear the Knight Rider:

Personally, I love statement pieces that when worn, will stand out in a crowd. LYA LYA  definitely meets that search for uniqueness, one that most of us look for when browsing through the latest designs and styles.
