A December Affair...

"It's my party, I do, do what I want (do, do what I want)"

Hello beautiful people! So yesterday was  MY BIRTHDAY!!! My favorite day of the year has arrived and I'm o-so-grateful for all the blessings I've been given this year and the 31 years of my life. I'm especially grateful for my two gorgeous angels that continue to fill our lives with ultimate happiness and my loving supporting husband that makes it all happen. Thank you God for giving me such amazing parents and super awesome siblings...without your endless love and never ending support and encouragement I wouldn't be the person I am today.
I think we should all remember to stop for a minute a day, breathe and thank God for everything he has given us and gives us- we are definitely blessed in our own ways.

So now that Christmas is here I've decide to put together a wish list of five items I'd love to own- you never know, maybe Santa is feeling a little extra generous this year!!

1) Chanel Cruise 2014 Parfum Bottle Evening Bag:
Chanel, perfume, and chains all in one- the perfect combination to completing that chic stylish evening look.

Color Me...

So it's that time of the year again when I'm ready for a full-on-hair-color-makeover! So here's the deal, I usually get super excited about the idea of getting a color change but at the same time super confused about what to go for. Don't get me wrong, I've already tried almost every color out there (except for the crazy rainbow colors that people go for and I have no clue why?! And also never did the red head thing) So I guess you can say I've tried blonde, light brown, chocolate brown, black, bleach blonde and now the not-so-sure-what-color-this-is color! I have to say though, I'm a HUGE fan of blonde shades and as rough as highlights are on the hair, I sure love that California blonde bombshell look! Unfortunately, at this point and after many years of experimenting with different shades, my hair can't in anyway handle anymore bleach and so I've come to the decision that I'm putting the health and quality of my hair first before the "perfect" color. I'm on a full-on plan of revitalizing my hair, growing it out and making sure it gets that healthy shine that it used to have. In other words, I want it LONG!!! So how to get both color and length- I guess will need to wait and see what my hairdresser has to say...
In the meantime, I've decided to go through my favorite hair color ombre trend in hopes of getting inspired. I'm even thinking of heading in the direction of a dark base that goes gradually lighter. This way I can grow out the roots without it looking so terrible or that I'm neglecting my hair. Here are some of my favorite ombre looks:

Love Sarah Jessica Parker's gorgeous healthy sun-kissed locks- might just be the color for me!

Who said ombre can't work on short hair?! Love this color and length on Miley Cyrus (I so think she should go back to this look-way classier!)

Once again Jessica Alba is stunning in this gorgeous brownish-blonde ombre- I love the drastic look of a dark base and light tips

The thing is about ombre is having it done right so that you don't end up with a choppy color. The color needs to be gradual in order to leave a more natural effect. Here are a few examples of ombre-gone-wrong:

Ashley Simpson has gone o-so-wrong with this extremely chopped do of very dark roots and orangey hair..I don't know if it's the choppy look or the rusty color that i hate more!

I really don't know what Ciara was thinking with this black and bleach blonde combination! A definite no no!

I can go on with many more examples of how to go wrong with ombre but I think you get the picture by now. Which is making me feel a little too anxious about going through with this trend! I'm just hoping my hairdresser is as good as I think he is!!!

Ok beautiful people I will be signing off now..need my sleep and need this flu to go away before the festivities kick in!!! Here's a Christmas song that is so so so cute!!!

How to Nail It?!

Today I realized that I spend quiet a bit of time (and money) on my nails. I basically go for a polish change on a weekly basis and a mani pedi once a month (sometimes twice :p) I just love the look of freshly painted nail polish on my perfectly filed nails! I also really love the whole experience of being pampered in an o-so-relaxing setting- it's probably my real "alone" time far from full on mommy responsibilities (if that's even possible!)
Every now and then I find myself wanting to do something different than a regular one-color manicure so I end up surfing the net for a funky design or unique nail art. Here are some of my favorite looks and nail art inspirations (a lot of which I've tried and loved):

Red french nail tips on round nails- must be one of my all time favorites! I actually just got mine done today (would sooo do it again!) Such a sexy fierce look- love it! I also like the black french nail tips- well at least every now and then.

Another super trendy french manicure look- the black on black french manicure. I just love the contrast of the matte on glossy- whoever came up with this design is pretty creative. It's definitely on my list to try out..

Love myself some gold and silver nails! These two metallic shades are oh-so-stylish and they're sure to to get you a compliment or two..I usually love wearing these shades with a LBD for a fun night out.

What a better combination than that of awesome colored nails and studs?! I'm personally a huge fan of studs so the thought of having them on my nails got me super psyched- yes, I tried them and LOVED them!

Amidst all the funky designs and crazy colors, I still have to say that my heart belongs to the classic neutral shades. These are my two FAVORITE classic looks of all time- OPI You Don't Know Jacques and Essie Sand Tropez. I've always opted for similar shades for an everyday neat neutral look, but after trying many different brands and colors I finally came across these two PERFECT shades of brown and nude. I would so recommend these colors if you haven't tried them yet.

Anyways my lovelies, I'm going to need to sign off now (time to take my little ones to the park). Have yourselves an awesome weekend!!

PS "This has been my song of the week (I just absolutely ADORE Rihanna!)"

Finding THE Dress

Now that December has rolled in (love love love this month!!!) that means celebrations are just around the corner! But there's one special grand celebration happening this month and that's my gorgeous sister's wedding! In the midst of my indescribable excitement I'm starting to super stress about finding THE dress for this o'so'special occasion. I don't really have something specific in mind, which of course makes it much harder- just thinking simple, classy and sophisticated...again, that doesn't narrower it down much! I decided to write this post to share some of my favorite designer dresses and red carpet inspirations in hopes of coming across THE dress!

I'm going to start with one of my favorite and probably a lot of you lovelies' favorite designers, the one and only Elie Saab. Yes, his dresses cost a fortune but the amazingly elegant feminine designs and unique fabric used in his numbers are to die for. It's definitely not easy to pick a favorite I mean I'd want them all- but here are a few of the dresses I'd love to own:

Another one of my favorite designers is the very trendy Alice and Olivia. Besides being more affordable, the contemporary designs are unique, edgy and classy at the same time. The designer uses a variety of material in her dresses, like leather, lace, feathers and tulle. I personally love the creativity in her designs and if you're going for that "different" stylish look, then Alice and Olivia would definitely be a good choice. Here are some of my favorite evening dresses:

At this point, I'm getting more and more overwhelmed with the choices amongst all the many amazing designers out there! I mean I can go on writing about my favorite ones but that's only going to make my search even harder! So I've decided to post a final designer that I've come across the other day while window shopping, Notte by Marchesa. The first thing that comes to mind when I think of their designs is the soft flowy fabric that makes you feel like you're literally floating on clouds! I absolutely LOVE the simplicity in their designs and the choice of that perfectly delicate fabric that would make every woman feel as feminine and classy as she is. I find the price range to be rather reasonable for the gorgeous look you'd end up with. These are some of my favorite picks:

A definite evening gown inspiration would be the red carpet- I think that's why I actually watch these events and get all goggly-eyed over some of these celebs in their gorgeous dresses. These were my picks from different red carpet events:

Naomi Watts (Oscars 2013) in Armani Prive

Charlize Theron (Oscars 2004) in Gucci

Jennifer Aniston (Emmy Awards 2004) in Chanel Haut Couture

Jessica Alba (Academy Awards 2006) in Versace

Sarah Jessica Parker (Red Carpet Event 2010) in Calvin Klein

Nicole Richie (American Music Awards 2013) in Emilio Pucci

So these have been my inspirations- just need to go on a MAJOR shopping spree and find myself a gorge dress! Just another excuse for me to go shopping! :p
PS "Will keep you posted on my find!"

I'm signing off my lovelies with this super sweet song by Jason Derulo (Makes me want to get married all over again!!):

Have a great day beautiful people!

A Sweater Kinda Winter!

It's that time of the year again! I think I can speak for a lot of you lovelies when I say: "Where has the time gone?!" Seriously, I just can't believe that in less than a month we'll be saying goodbye to 2013 and welcoming what I'm hoping would be a better year! Anyways, it's basically almost winter here in Dubai, which is super exciting for us as we finally get to take out our semi winter clothes (no fur, thick wool sweaters or UGGs in the picture.) The cool part is that sweatshirts and sweaters (I'll go with s&s for short) are our perfect match for this season- We get to flaunt the stylish, colorful and full-on pattern and print s&s!

I'm especially loving Wildfox's s&s collection. I mean I love Wildfox's designs in general, but their s&s collection screams fun, colorful, trendy and comfortable!
These are a few of my favorite picks:

I'm already getting excited thinking about wearing my s&s and started putting outfits together; here are a few to help you get an inspired:
