So it's that time of the year again when I'm ready for a full-on-hair-color-makeover! So here's the deal, I usually get super excited about the idea of getting a color change but at the same time super confused about what to go for. Don't get me wrong, I've already tried almost every color out there (except for the crazy rainbow colors that people go for and I have no clue why?! And also never did the red head thing) So I guess you can say I've tried blonde, light brown, chocolate brown, black, bleach blonde and now the not-so-sure-what-color-this-is color! I have to say though, I'm a HUGE fan of blonde shades and as rough as highlights are on the hair, I sure love that California blonde bombshell look! Unfortunately, at this point and after many years of experimenting with different shades, my hair can't in anyway handle anymore bleach and so I've come to the decision that I'm putting the health and quality of my hair first before the "perfect" color. I'm on a full-on plan of revitalizing my hair, growing it out and making sure it gets that healthy shine that it used to have. In other words, I want it LONG!!! So how to get both color and length- I guess will need to wait and see what my hairdresser has to say...
In the meantime, I've decided to go through my favorite hair color ombre trend in hopes of getting inspired. I'm even thinking of heading in the direction of a dark base that goes gradually lighter. This way I can grow out the roots without it looking so terrible or that I'm neglecting my hair. Here are some of my favorite ombre looks:
Love Sarah Jessica Parker's gorgeous healthy sun-kissed locks- might just be the color for me!

Who said ombre can't work on short hair?! Love this color and length on Miley Cyrus (I so think she should go back to this look-way classier!)
Once again Jessica Alba is stunning in this gorgeous brownish-blonde ombre- I love the drastic look of a dark base and light tips
The thing is about ombre is having it done right so that you don't end up with a choppy color. The color needs to be gradual in order to leave a more natural effect. Here are a few examples of ombre-gone-wrong:
Ashley Simpson has gone o-so-wrong with this extremely chopped do of very dark roots and orangey hair..I don't know if it's the choppy look or the rusty color that i hate more!
I really don't know what Ciara was thinking with this black and bleach blonde combination! A definite no no!
I can go on with many more examples of how to go wrong with ombre but I think you get the picture by now. Which is making me feel a little too anxious about going through with this trend! I'm just hoping my hairdresser is as good as I think he is!!!
Ok beautiful people I will be signing off now..need my sleep and need this flu to go away before the festivities kick in!!! Here's a Christmas song that is so so so cute!!!
